Floyd was born and raised in Harlem, New York where his mother died of a heroin overdose at the age of 28 and his father was a junkie for 20 years before being dramatically saved when he cried out to Jesus at the Teen Challenge center in Brooklyn. Floyd’s life eventually became ravished by drugs and he found himself living in an abandoned building. He called his dad who helped him enter the Brooklyn Teen Challenge center. After completing the program, Floyd entered Bible school and seminary where he met his lovely wife Mary. They have been married for over 25 years and have 4 children. Floyd worked at Teen Challenge New England for nearly 20 years and started the first Teen Challenge center in Connecticut and an inner-city Assemblies of God church. Floyd has also served as a Senior Pastor and is a Licensed Addictions Counselor.
